We are all One
The human race is finding itself at a very unique moment in its history. The human species is having to defend itself against an invisible demon. One that is sneaking into its communities and attacking it. The populous, to protect itself, is having to spend time sequestered away in their homes only venturing out into the cities to gather supplies. Hiding behind masks to protect themselves from an invisible demon lurking, waiting to jump into their lungs and smother them from within. What can be done to fight this invisible demon? They are told to isolate themselves from others who could be carrying this demon unknowingly. Washing hands like never before. Recommended not to touch their faces.
Never realizing how much they did touch their faces until they weren’t supposed to anymore. Now as I find myself sequestered safely away from society in my home I begin to Ponder this idea of an invisible demon which naturally leads me to ponder the idea of an invisible God. And not just one invisible God but all of them. I begin to wonder which God, would you suppose, could work best at battling this invisible demon? I’m sure that all the Gods are being called upon to help stop this invisible Demon. But with all this social distancing, most believers are left to fend for themselves. Alone at home with their beliefs in the God of their choice. Having nobody to interpret the words of scripture or give them guidance and direction. How are they to cope?
Now I’m not familiar with all the Gods but I do know the teachings of a few and there is a similar phrase in most I have studied and that phrase is “We are all one”.
So if this is not exclusive to just one religion, then my question is, does the phrase mean “we are all one” for those who believe in that particular religion? Does it mean “We are all one” for those that are sitting there listening to a particular prophecy or reading the scriptures? It’s hard for me to believe that these wise individuals of the past, who prophesied such great wisdom, would be limiting their scope in such a limited fashion. In ancient times, when this phrase was first expressed, the vastness of the world was limited to how far one had traveled or how detailed the stories that had been passed down to them from people who had traveled were. So when, in those times, they heard “we are all one”, their understanding would have only extended as far as their awareness of the physical world they had experience with. Now, in a time of global awareness, we are exposed to many races on many continents through our daily news and social media. So the phrase “We are all one” in this modern reality encompasses a much broader spectrum of people. With that in mind, I would like to believe that the wisdom of the Gods, all of them, using the phrase “We are all one” would be encompassing everyone living on this planet. Imagine for a moment that our skin was transparent and not colored as it is. There would not be any visible difference and it would be obvious that we are created equally.
No one person is born Christian or Buddist or Islamic or Jewish or any one of the other many religions. Religion is a belief system, not a physical manifestation. The undeniable truth is “we are all one” from birth.
We are all born into this human race. Religion is not of the body but of the mind. So at this moment in our human history, as we are being exposed to a worldwide pandemic, isn’t it profound that this invisible demon that has swept in throughout the world, attacking us in our daily lives, has also confirmed, like the Gods,
“We are all one”.?
