Through the eyes of a Child

I try my best to walk on the beach most every day. Mostly the same beach but every day I try and experience it Through the eye’s of a child.
What I mean by that is, I want to have that same experience you have when you go somewhere for the very first time. Some days my mind is so cluttered with adult realities that before I know it the walk is over and I didn’t see or hear a thing. When I get it right, I smell that aroma of the water that you only find at the beach. I pick up a marooned star-fish, talking to it about “how did you get yourself into such a situation”? as I return it to the safety of the Rocks. I watch the soaring seagulls and imagine I can see the air rising up from the cliffs, pushing up under their wings so there is nary a flap.
The beach itself guides me in this pursuit, with it’s constantly changing ways. The Rocks appear one day, then disappear the next.
The micro world of tide pools that I sit at staying motionless, patiently waiting for all its creatures that go hiding, to feel safe to come back out into their micro environment only to come back the next day to find that it no longer exists.
I’ve walked on many beaches around the world, Australia, Alaska, Venezuela, Hawaii, Italy, Scandinavia, Bali. Mexico
Making sure my toes got into each ocean.
Gradually I became aware of a tone.
A Natural harmonious vibration.
It’s a low tone that lies between the Crescendo of the waves and the Hissing of the surf as it slides up onto the shore, pausing, then sliding back out again.
The tone Soft when the sea is calm, Bold when the sea is large. It’s a low tone slipped between the chaos and so present it’s easily missed.
But once you hear this tone you will never not hear it again. It is natures white noise, its vibration relaxes and soothes the soul.
The physical body bathed in Ions is rejuvenated You have to stay in the moment to hear it.
And each moment is unique.
I found it, one day, while walking on a beach,
when my whole being was experiencing the world

Through the eyes of a child.
