Virtual Medicine

There is scientific evidence that placebos, in some instances, prove to be just as effective as modern medical procedures. In the gaming world, Virtual Reality has become so real to the person that is experiencing it that it has created a reality depression. That’s when the person comes out of the virtual and back to real life and finds real-life to be very mundane. Many new technologies are coming to the forefront of our evolving human path. There will be many new problems that arise from unseen potentials that don’t blend well with the human condition. For instance Electromagnetic frequencies and their effect on human physiology and its magnetic field. In a study of depression, the placebo was a sugar pill that was given to a group to be taken every day for 8 weeks and was effective anywhere from 10% to 100% to a drug taken by a second group at the same time. The body was creating the same chemicals with the sugar pill in the one group as the body was creating from medication in the second. This was the mind accepting it was being cured by a pill. Suppose now, that through virtual reality you were able to take the body to that place of wellness more completely in a virtual simulation? Will there be Virtual reality hospitals and medical clinics. Could doctors online take you to a healing place in your own home without you having to travel anywhere? The possibilities are both exciting and terrifying. The question then arises: Is technology following us or are we following technology?
