The Negative side effects of walking on the beach
I have never met anyone who doesn’t like a nice walk on the beach. The refreshing feeling we get from the clean ocean air, the sounds of the waves tumbling onto the shore. But are you aware of the negative side effects that this causes? Yes, there are scientific studies that have shown that
walking on the beach or sitting next to a stream with moving water over rocks has a negative influence on our biological vehicles. During our daily routine, we are exposed to many pollutants. Cleaning chemicals, carpets, preservatives from man-made foods, and even electromagnetic energy from our cell phones and wifi. These different pollutants cause in our bodies what is called Free Radicals/positive Ions that sap the energy from our cells and if there is a big enough build-up can cause dis-ease. Moving water such as the crashing of waves at the beach or water cascading over rocks creates Negative Ions. These negative ions attach themselves to Positive Ions and negate their effect. So the fact is, walking down the beach or sitting next to an active stream is extremely healthy. Breathing deeply in this environment allows these Negative Ions into the body and the blood. Just three or four deep breaths where you blow everything out of the lungs before inhaling will lower the blood pressure as well. Some of the greatest decisions that have ever been made in human history have been made at the beach. Napoleon, Churchill, Kennedy were all avid beach walkers and made huge decisions affecting the history of their times. So enjoy your next walk and the calming effect but also know it’s having a negative effect on your Positive life.
